There are several ways you can volunteer to help our rescue, on your own schedule and with the level of commitment you feel comfortable with. Here are a few ways you can help!

Low Time & Low Financial Commitment

  • Like our Facebook page, and share any of our posts! Doing this increases the number of people who see our rescue and dogs, and makes a huge impact when it comes to donations, volunteers, and adoptions. Plus, you get to make your friends smile with all of our cute dog pictures!
  • If you shop through amazon often, use smile.amazon.com to do your shopping and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to our rescue! Please use this link to shop: Amazon Smile. This is completely FREE to use!
  • Install the iGive extension for your web browser. When you shop online, iGive will notify you that you can donate a portion of your purchase to our rescue. Please visit the iGive Website to create an account. This is completely FREE to use!
  • Download the ResQWalk app on your mobile device and use it every time you go for a walk! ResQWalk donates a percentage to our rescue based on how many miles we accrue each week. This app is completely FREE to use, plus if you hit your mileage goal each week you get the opportunity to purchase a shirt with a rescue theme (changing each week) for $7 to help out even more!

Low Time & Medium/High Financial Commitment

  • Consider a monetary donation, either monthly or one time. We are a 501©3 organization, so all donations are tax deductible. We rely on these donations to help rescue as many dogs as possible!
  • Consider purchasing items from our Amazon Wishlist. These items are shipped straight to our foster coordinator and go directly towards our foster dogs. Help out by sponsoring a dog with food, toys, or blankets to make them feel safe at home.

Medium Time & Low Financial Commitment

  • Volunteer to help our adoptions committee. There are several areas where you can help, by completing reference checks from the comfort of your own home and on your own schedule, or by doing home visits and going out to meet some of our potential applicants. This will require training from our Adoptions Coordinator. There is no minimum/maximum time commitment for this. You can do volunteer to help once a month or once a day if you prefer! Please fill out a Volunteer Application if you are interested in helping in this area.
  • Volunteer to help out at our Meet & Greets. This involves helping to set up & tear down our booth, entertaining our fluffy friends, running dogs for potty breaks, greeting and spreading the word about our rescue, and spotting for safety. We typically have Meet & Greets that last 4 hours every 3-6 weeks. Please fill out a Volunteer Application if you are interested in helping in this area.
  • Volunteer to help our communications committee. This involves spreading the word about our rescue on social media, through professional connections, and through blog posts on our website. If you have an interest in marketing or communications this is the right opportunity for you! Please fill out a Volunteer Application if you are interested in helping in this area.
  • Volunteer to help our placement committee. With several applicants and dogs, we need help match making! This will involve getting to know each of our dogs, and pairing them with applicants. Please fill out a Volunteer Application if you are interested in helping in this area.

Medium Time & Medium/High Financial Commitment

  • Volunteer to help transport dogs! We have fosters, vets, and trainers all over the Houston area, and sometimes getting dogs to and from is difficult. Any help with transportation of dogs is much appreciated. Mileage is also a tax deductible expense! Please fill out a Volunteer Application if you are interested in helping in this area.

High Time & Low Financial Commitment

  • Volunteer to foster a dog! Please head over to the Foster FAQ to learn more, or email our foster coordinator for more information! Fostering requires providing the dog with food, as well as any toys or treats. Rescue Reinvented covers the cost of all medical bills as well as vaccines and spay/neuter surgery, so this tends to be a lower commitment financially! Please fill out a Foster Application if you are interested in helping in this area.

High Time & Medium/High Financial Commitment

  • Volunteer to foster a dog! Please head over to the Foster FAQ to learn more, or email our foster coordinator for more information! Fostering requires providing the dog with food, as well as any toys or treats. Rescue Reinvented covers the cost of all medical bills as well as vaccines and spay/neuter surgery. If you have the means to foster a dog as well as help offset medical costs, fostering can become a medium/high financial commitment.
